Structural Inspections

Structural Inspections and Reports

We undertake structural inspections of residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural properties.

An inspection may be required where there are concerns about:

  • cracking;
  • settlement or subsidence;
  • movement or distortion;
  • bulging or leaning walls;
  • deteriorating masonry;
  • corrosion of steelwork;
  • timber decay;
  • fire, flood or impact damage;
  • roof spread;
  • defective alterations;
  • retaining-wall movement;
  • unstable outbuildings;
  • proposed property purchases; or
  • the structural suitability of proposed works.

Following the inspection, we can provide a written report explaining our observations, the likely significance of the defects and any recommended further investigation or remedial work.

Where necessary, we can also prepare structural repair details, specifications and drawings.

Our inspections are generally visual and non-intrusive unless a more detailed investigation has been agreed.
