The practice was established by Harry Turnbull in 1986 and is based in Hawick in the Scottish Borders. The company has grown and currently provides Civil and Structural consultancy services to various public bodies, private companies and individuals. The practice is registered with SER Ltd, the body that produced the scheme for the Certification of Design (Building Structures) in Scotland. The practice is also a member of the Timber Research & Development Association (TRADA).
